iconectiv provides valuable tools for law enforcement agencies and public safety organizations to identify the service provider associated with a particular phone number. iconectiv offers two services to accomplish this:
- Enhanced Law Enforcement Platform (ELEP): This web-based subscription service gives detailed information about service providers and ported numbers. It allows authorized law enforcement and public safety personnel to search for specific phone numbers or number ranges. In the United States, law enforcement can quickly access information from the Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC). Accessing the nation’s sole authoritative numbering database helps quickly verify porting history and provides the service provider’s Law Enforcement Emergency Contact information.
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service: This free, phone-based service is available exclusively to authorized law enforcement and public safety agencies. IVR can indicate if a telephone number has been ported, the current service provider of record for a ported telephone number, and that company’s Law Enforcement Emergency Contact.
