Rich Call Data (RCD) Best Practices: Building Trust for Future Success
With illegal robocalls now representing nearly half of all unwanted calls in the U.S., according to the FCC, it’s no wonder that the lion’s share of calls from unidentified or unfamiliar calls (76%) are left unanswered. While verified information and initiatives like STIR/SHAKEN have helped mitigate illegal and unwanted robocalls, the telco industry must continue to develop additional frameworks to protect consumers and businesses.
During SIPNOC 2022, George Cray, Senior Vice President at iconectiv, was joined by executives from CTIA, T-Mobile and Verizon in the panel session, “Rich Call Data Best Practices: Building Trust for Future Success.”
The session explored why combining Rich Call Data (RCD) with calling verification is an important step forward in combatting fraud and re-building consumer trust in communications, and how Registered Caller™, the industry-backed centralized telephone number registry, is foundational for powering trusted RCD by enabling pre-call telephone number and brand vetting and validation.
The virtual panel session took place on March 23, 2022, at 4:00 PM EDT.
